Home Wedding Thursday Evening
The marriage of Miss Gladys Boyles, daughter of Mrs. J. W. Boyles,420 West Park avenue, to Mark Hammond, was solemnized last evening at 8 o'clock at the mode of the bride in the presence of forty relatives and friends.The bride and groom attended by Miss Marie Robinson and Robert Dillon of Oquiawaka, Ill., took their places before a bowl of asters and potted ferns and foliages in the living room. The ceremony was
performed by Rev. B.F. Patt of the First Baptist church, the ring service being used. After the congratulations and a short reception,
refreshments were served.Trailing vines and garden flowers were used for decorating in all the rooms.The bride wore a dress of white embroidered Swiss and her only ornament was a gold brooch in a leaf pattern, an heirloom. The bridesmaid wore a white
embroidered dress.Mr. and Mrs. Hammond leave Saturday for a honeymoon trip to St.Paul,Minn.and other northern points. On their return, they will be at home to their friends at 420 West Park avenue.The out of town guest were Mrs. J. Dillon of Oquawka, Ill, Mrs. Owen Hourihan and children of Salem, Mrs. John Cobb and children of Aurora, ILl,W.M. Shannon of Mt. Pleasant, and Robert Dillon of Oquawka, Ill.
