After An Old Solider
~
Eddyville, Iowa, June 1 – A crowd of enraged miners at Hocking are on a hunt of John D. Peters, an old solider and formerly an inmate of the Soldier’s Home at Marshalltown, on the charge of attempting to violate the person of the 8 year old daughter of John Grooms, who resides two miles south of Hocking. The miners have a rope and will undoubtedly string Peters up if they can catch him. The child was not injured.
