John Stark; farmer in section 16, born in Germany in 1817; came to Wapello County in 1862. He lived in Ottumwa 12 years since on his present farm consisting of forty acres; valued at $1,00.00. Married Margaret Sigler in 1863; she was born in Bion Germany. To this union five children were born.
