Hello, I am working on a project on Samuel Lewis, a Revolutionary War Patriot. I am researching his granddaughter, Cassander Miriam Lewis. She married an Emery Cantril and they lived in Van Buren County in the 1870s. I am wondering if this family may have been a founding family. What information is there on the Cantril family and the history of Cantril?
