J. F. Sewell

Joseph F. Sewell, for many years a well-known caterer of this city, died quite unexpectedly at his home, 400 West Sixth street, at 3:30 o'clock Friday afternoon, of heart trouble, with which ailment he had suffered for several years.

Mr. Sewell was a native of Bonaparte, Ia, where he was born 48 years ago, and where two sisters are still living. Besides his sisters, deceased leaves a widow, formerly Miss Ella Ramey, of Hughesville, a son of five years and an adopted son of 23 years.

Mr. Sewell was a member of Wichita tribe of Red Men and also belonged to the Sedalia aerie of Eagles.

The funeral services will be held at the house at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon, the Rev. S. S. Martin officialing, and the interment will be under the auspices of the Eagles and Red Men, the pallbearers being selected from the two orders, viz: E. M. Thatcher, Thomas Rowe, Edward Hough, C. H. Jackson, Henry Mercer, and Wallace Coher. -- Sedalia Democrat
