Mrs. Mary Ann Perkins died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Noah Mohler, in Bonaparte, Monday morning, April 2, 1894, in her sixty sixth year.
Mary Ann Rabb was born in Fountain county, Indiana, April 19, 1828, and came west with her parents in 1836, and settled in Van Buren county, Iowa, where she has resided ever since.
She was first married to David Sewell Jan. 14, 1847. Four children were born to the union, two sons and two daughters, three of whom are still living. Her husband died June 24th, 1861,
She was united in marriage to William Perkins Feb. 4, 1867. One son was born to the latter union, who died infancy. Mr. Perkins died December 20, 1889.
The funeral occurred from the home yesterday and the remains were laid to rest in Bonaparte cemetery.
Mrs. Perkins was a highly respected old settler of Van Buren county, having resided here since 1836. She has two brothers living in California, William and Elias Rabb.
