Mr. Ellsworth Brady, of this place, died Saturday night of last week of typo malarial fever, aged 24 years. The deceased was the proprietor of a barber shop at Centerville. Three weeks before his death he was taken sick, and his mother went to him. Two weeks later he was brought home, after which he lived about a week. Everything that loving hearts could devise was done to save him but it was all of no avail. We hear that one of Ellsworth's assistants in his shop died about the same time of the same disease. Ellsworth's funeral was held at 2 o'clock Monday, and was largely attended. The services were conducted by Rev. T. S. Oadams. There were present a number of his Centerville friends who brought costly and very handsome floral tributes. The young gentlemen were Messrs. Harry Trigg, Mad. Maring, Bud. Griffith, James Ellis, Clay Wright, H. Swarengen, I. A. Perjue. The deceased grew up here from childhood and was a very exemplary, respected and popular young man. He was to have been married next month to Miss Cora Sturdivant, a popular Bonaparte young lady who attended the funeral.
