Ira Brown

Saturday evening at 5:50 o'clock occurred the death of Ira Brown of Sunny Lane. Mr. Brown has been ill for some time with senility; to pluro-pneumonia, however the direct cause of his demise is laid.

Deceased was born at Bonaparte, Ia., August 18, 1845, and resided there until he removed to Warren county in 1897. He served the union as a member of Company H Sixth Volunteer Infantry, also as a member of Company K Forty-Fifth Iowa V. I. During the civil war.

January 23, 1887, he was united in marriage to Belle Earhart, of this union one son, George, was born. Other surviving relatives are his mother and a sister residing at Cora, Kansas, a sister in Oregon and a brother at Bonaparte, Ia.

Deceased was a carpenter and he worked at the trade since he was twenty years of age, and was favorably known to a large circle of friends and acquaintances in this county.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the late residence on Sunny Lane. - Monmouth, (Ill.) Review.

Ira Grover Brown is a son of Alphonso and Luphana Brown, and a brother of George Brown of Bonaparte. The above sketch from a Monmouth paper is quite complete.
