Clare L. Sargeant - Second son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Sargeant was born Vernon Twp. January 2, 1896 and died Camp Pike, AK January 10, 1918. Twenty two years, 8 days. Enlisted Battery C 336 Field Artillery. His mother died several years ago. Married February 20, 1917 to Miss Pluma Marriott whose parents lived near Bentonsport. Leaves wife, father, brother and relatives. F-Purdom Cemetery, Keosauqua.
