Nola P. Blackmer.
Nola P. Blackmer died March 16, 1911, at the home of her fathr, Dr. B.P. Blackmer in Bonaparte after a long illness. She was born in Bonaparte May 28, 1884, and had lived 26 years, 9 months and 18 days.
There remain of the immediate family to mourn their loss, a father and two sisters, Mrs. Harry R. Jones of Farmington and Miss Benna Blackmer of Knox College, Galesburg, her mother having passed away when she was 13 years old.
She was of a kind, retiring disposition, showing great patience during her long illness. Those who cared for her were impressed with her appreciation of every act of kindness shown. She was a great lover of music, showing much skill in the rendition of instrumental selections.
Funeral services were held at the late home Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. T.L. smith, with interment in the Bonaparte cemetery.
