Mrs. Fred Morti.

Catherine Jane Entler, daughter of W. W. and Sarah E. Entler, was born in Harrisburg Township, Van Buren County, Iowa, on June 15, 1857. In March, 1867, she with her parents moved to Bonaparte, where she resided almost continuously until her demise on January 30, 1914, at twenty minutes after four o'clock, aged 56 years, 7 months, and 15 days.

On March 19, 1892, she was married to Mr. Warren Cox. On February 28, 1899, she was married again to Mr. J. F. Morty; who together with a daughter, Mrs. Frank Guess; one grandchild, five brothers; G. W. of Chicago; W. H. Of Washington, D. C.; . J. of West Point, Iowa; J. F. of Evansville, Indiana; and J. S. Entler, of Bonaparte; together with other relatives and friends, are left to mourn their loss.

She was a woman of more than ordinary sympathy and kindness and was never so happy as when administering to the comfort of others, often, at the expense of forgetting herself. Mrs. Morti had been ailing for a long time, but was not considered seriously ill until a short time before she passed peacefully away to the great beyond. All that love and kindness could do, was done for her; but to no purpose, except to her temporary relief; for the time of her departure had come; and death, judging from the human standpoint, was the victor.

The pulsation's and throbbings of her large and warm heart have ceased forever. The tongue that rejoiced to speak kind and encouraging words to those with whom she came in contact from day to day has stopped speaking in this world forever. Her hands that were so frequently used in administering to others, have stopped their service. She cannot return to us, but we can go to her.

We most heartily and sincerely express and extend our sympathy to our brother, Mr. Morty, and to the daughter, to the five brothers, and all the relatives and mourners in this time of their affliction and sorrow. May the sympathizing Jesus speak peace to their troubled hearts.

The funeral service was held at the Presbyterian church Monday afternoon Rev. Hughes, officiating, and interment at the Bonaparte Cemetery.

The family and relatives desire to express their gratitude to all who kindly assisted and sympathized with them in their sad bereavement.
