The people of Meadowvale and vicinity were greatly grieved Monday evening when it was learned that Mrs. Geo. Keesling, one of the early residents of that section, had died suddenly after an attack of cerebral hemorrhage.

She had seemed to be perfectly well Monday and had been doing the washing when she became sick. Going after it piece of soap in the stairway she suddenly fainted and fell several steps, but afterwards regained consciousness and lingered for several hours before finally cleaned her.

Mrs. Keesling was born in West Moreland County, Pa., January 7th, 1844, and spent the early part of her life there. She was married to Mr. Keasling Feb. 4, 1867, and they moved to Minnesota in 1874, living for a short time at Becker before settling at Meadowvale, where they have lived continuously ever since. Mrs. Keesling united with the Baptist Church at Becker in 1874, and has been an earnest Christian worker and a woman of admirable character.

She is survived by her husband, two sons and four daughters, namely Fred and George Keesling Jr.; both living at Meadowvale, Mrs. Elmer Taylor, of Meadowvale, Mrs. George Green, of Fergus Falls, Mrs. E E Bailey of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Jerome Thayer, of Bagley.

The funeral was held at the residence yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock and was attended by large number of people from the surrounding country. The service was conducted by Rev. Evans and the interment was at the Meadowville cemetery.–– News, Elk River, Minn.

George Keasling is a brother of Charles, William and Arch Keasling and Mrs. H. Habermen of Bonaparte.
