Katharine Helwig.

Katharine Franks was born in Germany in 1825 and came to America when she was seventeen years old. She was married in Philadelphia to George V. Hellwig and they soon afterward came west.

For forty-three years she lived in Van Buren county, and since the death of he husband about five yard ago has been living with her only daughter, Emma. Beside this daughter, there are three sons, George and Fred of Van Buren county and Harry of California.

If Mrs. Hellig had lived until November 24th next, she would have been eighty-five years old, but she passed peacefully away Saturday afternoon, July 23, 1910, and on the Tuesday following was buried in the home cemetery, Rev. Pearl of Primrose having charge of the services which were held at the home.
