Lucy Loretta Logan.

Lucy Loretta, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Logan, was born Oct. 3, 1903, and died March 2, 1909, aged 5 years and 5 months.

She was a frail child, not strong as some children, yet she was full of energy, always busy, and no one of the family fully realized how large a place she really had in the home. She was attacked with lagrippe near the first of February, and in a few days symptoms of appendicitis developed, which caused her death. Everything was done which could be done to control the disease but all seemed to fail. Her suffering was very severe, yet she was a very patient little sufferer until Tuesday night at eleven o’clock - she was not, for God took her.

Two daughters and one son are left in the home, but they with the parents will be all too lonely since little Retta is gone, yet she is not gone, for while her memory still lives in the home her Spirit is gone to the home of the blessed, there to wait with her Savior for our coming, where we will meet never again to part.

A very large crowd attended the funeral which was held at 10:30 Friday morning at the family residence in Harrisburg township, service by Rev. Heightshoe, a long time friend of the family, and Rev. O. J. Fix, and the little body laid away in Sharon cemetery.

-

We wish to thank our many friends and neighbors for their assistance and kindness during the recent illness and death of our little daughter, Lucy Lorretta.
