In Memoriam
As the morning sun was gilding with roseate hues the mountain peaks, Edna May, the beloved daughter of Asa M. and Amelia Middaugh fell asleep.

Early in April as Mother Earth was unlocking her bosom, that the flowers might burst their winter prison cells and shed their perfume to sweeten the air, she was taken sick with erysipelas. Spring gave way to summer's warm breath and yet the bright days of June brought no change for the better. Summer in turn gave place to the soft hazy days of October, and day by day she grew weaker, and hope began to fade, and when autumn was turning the leaves to purple and russett and gold, she peacefully passed to the "great beyond."

Young, beautiful, accomplished, she intuitively found her way to the heart of all who knew her, and her many friends will sadly miss her genial companionship.

Dear Friends, we would not say, no not mourn your lost darlng, but rather remember she is free from her sufferng and she waits on the other shore to greet the coming of her loved ones; remember that when the shadow of death was falling upon her, shutting out her pure young life, she called you all about her and said, "Do not grieve, God loves you and he loves me, and he will not let any harm come to any of us." and with this feeling of trust, hope and confidence in Him, she calmly folded her hands and her gentle spirit winged its flight to a land of pure delight.
