Ward-
At the home of her parents in Vernon township, Nov. 14, Bertha May Ward, daughter of Calvin S. and Christina Ward, aged 7 years, 10 months, 23 days. Her body was tenderly laid to rest in the Thompson grave yard on Sunday.

"Oh what a shadow o'er the heart is flung
When peals the requiem of the loved and young!"

"Yes why should death be linked with fear?
A single breath, a low drawn sigh
Can break the ties that bind us here
And waft the spirit to the sky."
