Ernest Smith died in the 54th year of his age at his residence, Wednesday, April 12. His disease was consumption, whith which he had been afflicted several years. He had been for many years a member of the masonic fraternity, and his funeral on Friday was conducted by that order. The funeral discourse was pronounced by Rev. W. S. Hurt, of this place and was an able and eloquent effort.
