Wm. Lackey was born in Prebble [sic] county, Ohio, November 22d, 1818, and died in Harrisburg township, Van Buren county, Iowa January 15, 1892. His parents emigrated to Indiana when he was nine years old and he came to Van Buren county about the year 1840 where he was married to Caroline Marriott, who, with two sons and two daughters and twelve grandchildren still survive him. He lived an upright, and the noblest work of God, an honest man. Funeral services at Vernon M. E. church January 16th.
