JAMES F. BAILEY.
James F. Bailey was born August 23, 1825, in Belmont county, Ohio, and passed away at his home in Bentonsport Wednesday Dec 26, 1906, aged 81 years, 4 months and 3 days.
With his parents he moved to Morgan county, Ohio, in 1835. The little villa of McConnelsville, now the county seat of Morgan county, being his home town, - a place he fondly cherished and delighted to talk of to the close of his life.
In 1846, at the call of volunteers for the Mexican war, he enlisted as a private in Co. H, 3rd Ohio infantry, and was honorably discharged after a years service.
In the spring of 1850 with other sturdy Ohioans who largely assisted in settling Iowa and the west, he came to Van Buren county, locating at Bonaparte, remaining until the fall of 1851, [remainder of article missing]
