Word was received here Saturday of the sudden death of Mrs. Dr. William Lee of Humbodt, Kansas, Mrs. Lee being a sister of Dan Cheney of this place.

Alice Estella Cheney, daughter of Elizabeth and Luther Cheney, was born in Campton, New Hampshire, Dec. 12, 1852 and died at her home in Humboldt, Kansas, March 1, 1912.

She was married in Bonaparte, Jan. 11, 1876 to Dr. William Lee of Farmington. To this union were born two children; Frank dying in 1905 in Old Mexico where he was taken for the benefit of his health; Mrs. Gussie Mesnard? [difficult to read] of Humboldt, Kansas.

She leaves to mourn their loss, a husband, one daughter, and two grandchildren of Humboldt, Kansas. Three brothers, Ed. Of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, George of Moberly, Mo., and Dan of Bonaparte.

Mrs. Lee was well known here this being her home several years ago.

The remains were brought here Monday from Kansas, accompanied by R. E. Mesnard. The other members of the family being unable to attend as Mr. Lee is very sick.

The funeral was held at the Methodist Church Monday afternoon, Rev. Taylor of Farmington conducting the service. Interrment [sic] in the Bonaparte cemetery.
