FLORIS. Leo L. GARRETT, 61, former Jefferson County resident, died Thurs. at his home 4 1/2 miles s.e. of Floris. Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery.

Born Jan. 15, 1910, in Jefferson County, son of M.L. and Eva GONTERMAN GARRETT. He had farmed in Jefferson, Van Buren, and Davis Counties. Married Feb. 14, 1932, Hazel CROWE, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Clifford LUDWIG, Sr., of Webster City, Mrs. Floyd McINTOSH of Fairfield, and Mrs. Stanley CURTIS of York, Pa.; five sons, Donald of Batavia, Maynard of Monticello, Leo Jr. of Peoria, Ill.; Phillip of Bloomfield, and Billy Ray at home; 16 grandchildren, three half-sisters and one half-brother. One sister preceded him in death.
