World 1 Vet Ralph L. Dodds Died 18 May 1968

Bonaparte - Ralph L. Dodds, 77 died Saturday afternoon at Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City, where he had been a patient one week. he was born Dec. 30, 1890, in Van Buren County, the son of John F. and Sally Keck Dodds. He was married Oct. 30, 1920 at Mount Pleasant, to Edith Barker, she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Keith of Iowa City and John of Fairfield; one daughter, Geraldine Yenter of LaBelle, Mo., and five grandchildren. He was a member of the Harrisburg Baptist church, Bonaparate American Legion, and a veteran of World war1. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Harrisburg Baptist Church with the Rev. David Diercks officiaating. Internment will be in Vale cemetery. May 21, 1968. The body is at Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham.
