Mary Elizabeth Wanzel was born in German December 31, 1833 and died at Bonaparte September 27, 1899, having lived 65 years, 8 months and 27 days. In 1857 she was married to Beldazzar Nauman who survives her. Eleven children were born to them of whom ten are still living. One son and two daughters reside in Germany.

Mr. and Mrs. Nauman have resided in Van Buren county, for 17 years. She was an excellent woman held in high esteem by all who knew her and will be sadly missed by those who knew her.

Services were held at the residence Sunday afternoon, Oct. 1st, conducted by Rev. W. H. Scofield after which the body was borne to its last resting place in the Bonaparte cemetery.
