Death of Frank Hellyer (newspaper hand written date of 1915)
Frank C., son of Malothi and Malinda Hellyer, was born in Van Buren county, Iowa, near Leando, March 4, 1860, and passed away Dec. 1, 1915, at Livingston, Mont., in his 56th year. He was married to Ida M. Denning in 1879, and to them four daughters were born, all of whom are living, viz: Mrs. S.M. Russell, Eldon, Ia.; Mrs. F. H. Doman, Rock Island, Ill; Mrs. H. J. Holmes, Bruce, Mont, and Hazel Hellyer, Livingston, Mont. The family located in Eldon in 1894, and lived there until seven yers ago, when they moved to Montana. Last August he was taken to Rochester, Minn., for treatment for kidney trouble. There he underwent a surgical operation, but this failed to relieve his trouble. Since his 16th year he was a member of the M.E. church and lived a christian life. He was a kind husband and an indulgent father. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and four daughters; also three sisters: Mrs. John Downing, of Eldon; Mrs. Ella Kerr and Mrs. Robert Forbes, of Keosauqua; also nine grand children. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. A. W. McBlain, were held at the Eldon M.E. church on Monday at 2 p.m. and burial was at the Eldon cemetery. The church was filled with relatives and friends, which shows the high esteem in which he was held.
