Mrs. Mary Leah MEREDITH died Bonapart 3/18/1908, age 71 years, 2 months, 17 days. Mary Leah, daughter of B. B. and Elizabeth HORNBAKER, born Preble Co., Iowa, Jan. 1, 1837, In the year Iowa became a state 1846 she with parents came to Iowa to Vernon Twp. Married Jesse S. Meredith 2/7/1856 which lasted 52 years. On farm until 14 years ago then to Bonapart. 3 children - one son, 2 daughters: George, Luella and Bertha. Survived by husband, 3 children, one brother and 5 grandchildren.
