Theodore Snowbarger
Theodore Snowbarger, 81, of Arbela, Missouri, died Tuesday morning, October 20, 1922 at 12:10 a.m. at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, where he had been a patient since July.
He was born January 4, 1911 in Schuyler County, Missouri, the son of John and Theodosia Wheeler Snowbarger.
He married Genevieve Van Dyke June 2, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ellis (Faye) Harness of Donnellson, Iowa and Mrs. LeRoy (Lona) Pilcher of Keosauqua, Iowa; three (ste-grandsons), LeRoy Pilcher, Jr. and his wife, Stacie, Winiford Pilcher and his wife, Cassandra, and Shawn Allen Pilcher, all of Keosauqua, Iowa; four step-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Theodore was of the Methodist faith. he had lived in Arbela for the past 40 years, and had been employed as a construction and factory worker and in later years at Shannon Sawmill in Granger.
He was preceded in death by one son, John Lavern Snowbarger, to infant grandsons, William Edward and David Smith; two brothers, Frank and John Snowbarger; and three sisters, Sarah Shafer, Stella Nicholson and Delphia Young.
Memorial services were held Saturday, October 24, 1992 at 1 p.m. at the Granger Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Harold Marshall. Interment was in the Granger Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to the Granger Cemetery or to the Arbela Methodist Church.
Arrangements were in charge of Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka.
