Elva B. Armstrong

Elva B. Armstrong, 81, of Woodbury West, 1211 Vine St., West Des Moines, Iowa died of a heart attack on May 6, 1992 at Woodbury West.

She was born in Leonardville, Kansas and has lived the past several years in Des Moines.

Her husband, Richard Armstrong died several years ago. He was a former Van Buren Community Schools Superintendent for seven years, 1963-70.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy E. Paul of Springfield, Mo.; a son, Mike Armstrong of Des Moines, one sister, Leona Arney of Tacoma, WA, two grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 1992 at Prarie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, Kansas with interment in Prarie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody, Kansas.

Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines was in charge of services.
