Washington BROWN, born Huntington Co., PA 2/11/1813 - died in Keosauqua IA 6/21/1905 - 92 years 4 months, 10 days. Youngest of eleven children and the last to die. At age 19 or in 1832 moved near Lancaster, Ohio. To Iowa in 184[?] to Keosauqua, Van Buren Co. In 1835 married Mary LONG - 8 children - all preceded him in death, except one son, S. M. Brown and one daughter, Mrs. J. H. KENNEDY. His wife died 11 years ago. Since then at home of son, S. M. Brown of Keosqu. Civil War - Co. C 37th IA. Inf.
