John Lyon, B. Milton NY 8/12/1817 - Died at Dexter Ia. 1/30/1905, Age 87 years 5 months - 18 days. Pioneer resident V. B. Co. Lived Pierceville more 65 years. Marr 2/10/1839 to Sarah CONFIELD in NY State and shortly moved to V. B. Cou. Blacksmith and wagon maker. After 40 years of marriage wife died more than a quarter centur ago. 4 sons and 1 dau. Two sons, Chas H. and Francis M. preceded him in death. Dau, Mrs. Mary JEWETT lives Oklahoma. One son, John C., Arroyo Grande, California/ youngest son, Horace G., Gordon, Nebr. Past 10 years made home lived with son, C. H. LYON at Dexter. Bur. at 2/1/1905.
