Nettie Beulah Ward, daughter of W. W. and S. A. Ward, was born November 26, 1879, near Bentonsport, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood.
She was married to S. R. Henry, April 26, 1899. To them was born a lovely little daughter, February 24, 1900, which passed to the better land, Sunday March 11th.Nettie possessed a kind and loving disposition which endeared her to all with whom she became acquainted, bearing her sickness with remarkable patience, never murmuring, following the example of her Savior, and her long afflicted mother, who, just four short weeks before, was laid to rest.
In the fall of 1898 she united with the Presbyterian Church at Bonaparte, Iowa, remaining a faithful member until she was called home, March 14th, 1900.
She leaves to mourn her untimely departure, a husband, aged father, four sisters and two brothers, besides many friends and acquaintances.

The battle fount, the victory won,
Blessed was the path she trod,
For she espoused the Glorious Cause
In prompt obedience to the laws
Of the Eternal God."The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church at Bentonsport, Iowa, Friday morning, March 16, 1900. The services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. H. Scofield.
