Wesley F. Pierce

Wesley Frank Pierce was born September 2, 1907, on the farm where he passed away on July 19, 1990. He was the son of Alfred and Hope Cochran Pierce. He was a 1927 graduate of Cantril High School. On February 24, 1932 he married Marjorie Thomas and moved onto the farm where they have lived for 58 years.

Wesley, a full-time farmer and part-time carpenter, was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Hollis, a nephew, Mike Teal and a niece, Donna Pierce. He is survived by his wife, his sister, Veneta Teal, several nieces and nephews, and friends.

He was a long-time member of Cantril United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 22, 1990 at 2:30 p.m. in the Cantril United Methodist Church with Rev. Kim Eanes officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril. Memorials were established for his church or may be made to charity of donor's choice.

Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
