Mildred Osborn rite today

The service for Mildred L. Osborn, 72, 205 W. Briggs Ave., who died at 4:49 p.m. Friday, March 31, 1989, at Jefferson County Hospital, was held at 9:30 a.m. today at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating. A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. at Medicineville Cemetery. A memorial Calu Apartments.

Mrs. Osborn was born Dec. 1, 1916, in Putnam, Mo., the daughter of George J. and Laura Bell Sterling Rollins. She married Ernest W. Osborn Nov. 16, 1938, in Princeton, Mo. He died Feb. 6, 1957. She was a homemaker, a member of the Quilting Club at Calu Apartments and a member of the Foursquare church.

Surviving are four daughters, Lois Nickelson of Birmingham, Shirley VanAken of Belton, Mo., Phyllis Snook of Fairfield, Sharon Thomas of Brighton; four sons, Duain of Washington, Floyd of Rock Falls, Ill., Lloyd of Ottumwa, Delbert of Fairfield; 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Widner of Powersville, Mo., Edna Moore of Unionville, Mo.; and a brother, Bert Rollins of Corydon. Her parents, two brothers, Everett and Roy, and a sister, Reva, preceded her in death.
