Vera B. Pruett

Vera B. Pruett, 87, of Fort Madison died at 1:25 p.m. Friday, June 16, 1989 at Fort Madison Community Hospital.

Born July 20, 1901 in Cantril, she was the daughter of William and Jessie Bolen Duley. She married Kester Pruett March 24, 1919 in Memphis, Missouri. He died August 1, 1984.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Fort Madison.

Surviving are three sons, James Pruett, Fort Madison, Richard Pruett, Fort Madison, Richard Pruett, Montrose, and Harold Pruett, Albuquerque, New Mexico; one daughter, Mrs. Evonne (J.R.) McKinney, Farmington; 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The service for Mrs. Pruett was held Monday, June 19, 1989 at the Church of the Nazarene with the Reverend Timothy Tinker officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Church of the Nazarene.

King-Lynk Funeral Home, Fort Madison was in charge of arrangements.
