Nancy Lee Johnson

Nancy Lee Johnson, daughter of (Stephen) Coon, was born June 13, 1942, at Grant City, Missouri, and passed away December 1, 1989 at the age of 47 years, six months, and 12 days at the B.V. Hosptial(err), Storm Lake, Iowa.

Nancy was educated at Forest City High and graduated in 1960. She lived in Fort Dodge, Iowa and worked at Tony's Restaurant. She was united in marriage to Michael Lee Johnson on September 28, 1962 at Fort Dodge. In 1974, they moved to Manson where whe(err) was a housewife until 1986, when she became a site manager at Golden Meadows, Manson. In 1988 they moved to Fonda where they owned and operated the Fonda where they owned and operated the Fonda Inn for a year and a half. Nancy was a volunteer for the Good Samaritan Center in Manson.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Lee; parents, Howard and Doris Coon of Bedford; sons, Steven of Manson and Jeramy at home; daughters, Laurie of Manson, Sherry, Fort Charles, Mo., and one grandchild, Emily Sue; brother, John Coon, Redding, Calif.

Howard Coon was a custodian of Lacey-Keosauqua State Park from 1950's. John Coon graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1955.
