Margaret E. Hackley

Margaet E. Hackley, 67, of Rock Island, Ill., formerly of Mediapolis, died 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 1988, at Franciscan Medical Center, Rock Island, Ill.

Born Dec. 29, 1920, in Mediapolis, she was the daughter of Glenn and Margaret Burgess Bailey. She married Artie Hackley in 1951 in Rock Island, Ill. He died in1968.

She was a bookkeeper at the Rocks Island Arsenal and then at Peterson's Department Store, Rock Island, Ill., before retiring in 1975. She was a member of the South Park Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Babara Teeter, Bonaparte, and Mary Katzenburger, Davenport; and one brother, Robert Bailey, Davenport.

A graveside service for Mrs. Hackley will be 10 a.m. Monday in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island, Ill., with Rev. Jacquel Kelewae officiating.

Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society and South Park Presbyterian Church.
