Buena DeGood

Buena P. DeGood, 88, of Country Lanes Apartments in Keosauqua died at 8:14 a.m. June 4, 1988, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

She was born April 21, 1900, near Packwood to U.S. and Mary Alice Scott Williams. She was a member of Eddyville Christian Church, and had worked for Williams and Hunting Manufacturing Company in Cedar Rapids and at the Drakesville telephone office for nine years. She had lived in Keosauqua for the past three years. She married Rollie DeGood May 15, 1920, in Fairfield. He died Feb. 16, 1969.

She is survived by a stepson, Kenneth DeGood of Peoria, Ill.; a stepgranddaughter, Marita Fuller of Las Vegas, who was raised in the DeGood home; four stepgrandchildren; and several step-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Maurine Burbank.

The services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial was in Abingdon Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to Abingdon Christian Church.
