Archibald Deao

Archibald Deao, 79, of Stockport, died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 1988 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.

Born January 20, 1909 near Burlington, he was the son of Orlando and Anna Jacobe Deal. He married Margaret Schrader in 1945. She preceded him in death. He then married Arlene Lay, May 21, 1964 in Kahoka, Missouri.

He was a farmer in the Stockport and Lockridge areas for the past 50 years.

Surviving are his wife; five sons, James Deao, Washington, Howard Deao and Roger Dea, both of Stockport, Robert Deao, Lockridge, and Randy Deao, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Linda (James) Pohren, Salem; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The service for Mr. Deao was held Saturday, July 9, 1988 at the Lockridge Baptist Church with the Reverend Larry Hembry officiating. Burial was in Lockridge Cemetery. Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant was in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established.
