Esther Johnston

LEBANON - Esther I. Johnston, 87, of Lebanon died July 1, 1986, at the Lutheran Home in Vinton.

She was born Sept. 28, 1898, in Milton to Barnett and Anna Peacock Bonar. She was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker. She married Earl Johnston Dec. 25, 1920, in Bloomfield. He died in 1971.

She is survived by a son, Paul E. of Keosauqua; two daughters, Margaret E. Johnston of Davenport and Donna Beggs of Vinton; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Lebanon United Methodist Church, the Rev. Carl Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.

The family will be at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Friday.

Memorials to Lebanon United Methodist Church or Lebanon Cemetery may be left at the funeral home.
