Clyde Miers

MILTON - Clyde C. Miers, 70, of Milton died July 16, 1986, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 11, 1916, in Nebraska to Melvin and Ota Gaskell Miers. He was a member of the Celestial Masonic Lodge 413, Russell and Milton Christian Church. He married Margie Lancaster on July 3, 1937, in Farmington. She died May 11, 1986.

He is survived by two daughters, Betty Ringold and Pat Detrick of Burlington; six grandchildren, and a sister, Valora Cook of Keokuk.

The service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Milton Christian Church, the Rev. Ed Poole officiating. A masonic service conducted by Don Parrott will follow. Burial with military rites will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.

Visitation will be from 7:30-8:30 p.m. today at the Priester's Funeral Chapel in Milton.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
