Martha Hennesey Austin

Martha Hennesey Austin, 74, of Des Moines, wife of the late James Raymond Austin, suffered a fatal heart attack in her home about 3 a.m., Sept. 8, 1986. They were married oct. 2, 1937.

She is survived by a daughter, Janet, and her husband of Washington, D.C., a son, James Raymond, Jr., and his wife, Carol, and two grandchildren of Des Moines.

She was a sister-in-law of Reuben Austin of Keosauqua.

Funeral services were held in St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Des Moines at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 1986 with burial in Green Glade Cemetery in Des Moines.

Duns Funeral Home in Des Moines was in charge of arrangements.
