RAYMOND ANDERS

Raymond Anders, 72, Fort Madison, died at 9:01 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 1986 at University Hospitals, Iowa City. He had been ill one week.

Mr. Anders was born September 14, 1913 at Farmington and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired employee of the Fort Madison DuPont plant with 27 years of service. A Navy veteran of World War ii, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

On June 20, 1936, at Kahoka, Missouri he married Nellie Smith, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Edna Anders, Chicago; a sister, Edna Bowers, Fort Madison; and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers. His parents were Otis and Emma Davis Anders.

Graveside services were held Saturday in Oakland cemetery. The Rev. James Bridges officiated.

A memorial has been established with the Iowa Heart Association. Contributions may be made at the King-Lynk Funeral Home.
