Julia Keefe

ELDON - Julia S. Keefe, 96, died the morning of May, 24, 1986, at the Ottumwa Manor in Ottumwa.

She was born July 4, 1889, in Dudley to Edward and Hilda Anderson Carlson. She spent most of her life in Eldon. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and the St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She married Owen Keefe on July 21, 1924, and he died in 1972.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Hemm of Eldon; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Oscar Carlson of Ottumwa.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, the Rev. Leonard Goettemoller officiating. Burial will be in Eldon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Campbell Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Eldon Rescue Unit.
