WINFIELD - Laura A. Schwartz, 90, died Sunday, Jan. 19 at the Sunrise Terrace Care Center, Winfield.

She was born July 29, 1895, at Bonaparte to George and Elizabeth May Craig. She married Charles C. Schwartz on Oct. 4, 1917, at Camp Dodge. He died Feb. 1, 1951.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Winfield, the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries and the 60 Plus Club.

Surviving: One daughter, Mrs. Esther Sears, Winfield; five granddaughters, 12 great-grand-children and one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Roy Craig, Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Winfield, the Rev. James Edwards officiating. Burial at Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery. A memorial to the Sunrise Terrace Care Center has been established at the McKasson-Honts Funeral Home, Winfield.
