RAYMOND GUY PALMER SR.

Funeral services for Raymond Guy Palmer, 88, Farmington, were held Monday, March 17, 1986 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, with Rev. Eddie Rape officiating. Burial was in the Greenglade cemetery, Farmington.

Mr. Plamer died at 2:48 p.m. Friday, March 14 at the Veterans Hospital, Iowa City.

He was born July 28, 1899 in Fairmont, Missouri and was a retired farmer of the Farmington area. He was a member of The First Baptist church of Farmington. A Marine veteran of World War I, he was a 50-year member of the Disabled American Veterans of Keokuk.

On January 21, 1920, he married Sylvia Ruth Johnson, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Raymond Palmer, Farmington; a daughter, Mrs. Phil (Laverna) Alaria, Fort Madison; a brother, Ernest Palmer, Rock Island; a sister, Mrs. Sam (Irene) Braden, Davenport; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. His parents were James M. Palmer and Debbie Parke Palmer.

A memorial has been established. Contributions may be made at Hofbauer Funeral Home.
