Rites Wednesday for B. Bird

MT. PLEASANT - Bertha Bird, 79, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Birmingham, died Sunday at Henry County Health Center. (handwritten: 12 Jan '86)

She was born June 11, 1906, at Dunlap, Ill. She was the daughter of John and Myrtle Aby McKee. Miss McKee married Ralph W. Bird June 15, 1929, in Mt. Pleasant. He died Sept. 14, 1962.

Mrs. Bird was a member of the Congregational-Universalist Church, Congregational Women's Society and Bonnett PTA at Birmingham.

She is survived by a brother.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Charles Tweed officiating. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call as desired after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

A memorial has been established to her church.
