Dorothy Meierotto

Dorothy Meierotto, 69, of Farmington, died at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

She was born Aug. 22, 1916, at West Point, to Joseph and Amelia Steffensmier Holtkamp. She married Alvis C. Meierotto on May 7, 1935, in West Point; he died earlier. They moved from Farmington to Mt. Hamill in 1971.

She was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Farmington.

Surviving are two sons, Delmar, Farmington, and Robert, Donnellson; one daughter, Mrs. Joan Bissell, Ottumwa; one brother, Wilbur Holtkamp, Edina, Mo.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Meierotto will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bonfice Catholic Church, Farmington, with the Rev. Leo Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in the Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington.

A memorial has been established for the Farmington Emergency Medical Training Unit.
