Ralph Biddenstadt

Ralph Biddenstadt, 62, of 1913 Exchange St., died Sunday, Nov. 2, at Keokuk Area Hospital.

He was born April 1, 1924, in Keokuk, the son of William and Violet Inman Biddenstadt. He married Vera Mae LeMatty on Dec. 25, 1946, in Keokuk.

He was employed by Super Oil for 35 years before his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ, Royal Aces Motorcycle Club, and was chaplain of the Eagles Club Aerie 683. Survivors include his wife, Vera Mae; son David and daughter Mrs. Charles (Bonnie) Bell, both of Keokuk; brothers Richard and William, both of Keokuk, Vernon of Hamilton, and Bird of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sisters Elizabeth Derr of Croton, Iowa and Frances Spiesz of Keokuk; five granddaughters, one grandson and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Julius. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Schmidt-Vigen Memorial Home with the Rev. A.H. Bauch officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Tuesday with the family meeting friends from 7-9 p.m.

An Eagle memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the memorial home.
