Almeda Welsh

FAIRFIELD - Almeda A. Welsh, 83, of Fairfield died March 1, 1985, at the Sam Houston Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas.

She was born Aug. 31, 1901, at Douds to Timothy and Harriet Davis Munson. She married Howard Welsh on Feb. 25, 1920, at Mason City. He died in 1984. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and was a charter member of the VFW Auxiliary. She had been living in Houston with her daughter since her husband's death.

She is survived by a son, Robert of Bettendorf; two daughters, Vivan McMicam of Flint, Mich., and Juanita Snook of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leon Munson of Houston, Texas.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Raymond Funeral Home, the Rev. Carl Riggs officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation is 7-8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
