Ronald Hancock

Ronald L. Hancock, 77, of Ottumwa Route 6 died Saturday, Oct. 19, 1985, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

He was born Dec. 3, 1907, to William H. and Alta Albert Hancock. He was a retired farmer and lived on the farm where he was born. He was a member of Eldon United Methodist Church and the New Hope Masonic Lodge in Eldon. He married Margaret Findlay on Oct. 5, 1929, in Des Moines.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Sally Allen of Eldon; two sons, Ronald of Boca Raton, Fla., and Robert of Ottumwa; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Gilbert of Eldon, Wilhelmina Seimer of Spokane, Wash., and Agnes White of Libertyville; and a brother, Albert of Eldon.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Mount Moriah Cemetery near Douds, the Rev. David Albert officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Eldon Fire Department and Rescue Squad.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
