Zoe Taylor

BIRMINGHAM - Zoe L. Taylor, 79, of Birmingham died at 9:10 a.m. May 2, 1985, at the Sunrise Terrace Nursing Home at Winfield.

She was born Sept. 8, 1906, at Kilbourne to H.P. and Nelle Gilbert Gilbert. She married John Swartout. She later married Glen Taylor. A lifetime resident of Van Buren County and former employee of the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, she has lived at the nursing home since 1979. She is survived by two daughters, Ona Lee Hootman of Birmingham and Mary Nelle Haessig of Fort Madison; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Finck of Clinton.

A graveside service for the cremated remains will be held at a later date in the Kilbourne Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Kilbourne Cemetery.

The Burch-Raymond Funeral Home at Birmingham is in charge of arrangements.
